E did great - her first wedding and her first wedding party role! She was absolutely gorgeous, and I only had to walk out of the ceremony with a screaming little brother once. Phew!
So the puking and the meltdown... well, The Prince all of a sudden had almost 103 fever today after his nap (great.) He was fine during the wedding (well, you know - except for the part where he was rifling through my purse (to keep him entertained) and he pulled off the cap to my perfume, proceeded to put it in his mouth, and screamed when I had the GALL to take it away from him. Shame on me. So by the time we hit the reception, he was looking pale and a lot like some sort of pasta noodle... perhaps linguini. He fell asleep on me through dinner and then graciously spared his mommy's pretty new outfit and threw up all over his daddy on the way out.
The meltdown... well that was E - she vehemently rejected any semblance of food offered at said wedding, and was STARVING (she has low-blood sugar issues like her mother, which tends to make her something akin to a Tazmanian DEVIL, who then throws herself on the floor and, like the old lady who's fallen, she can't get up.) So, the head waiter of the hotel actually came over to her since he noticed her rolling on the floor crying. He was asking if she was OK and I poo-poo'd him away saying she's FINE! grrrr.
So, we missed the cake (thus, I'm chowing on a spoonful of creamy peanut butter sprinkled with chocolate chips (my weakness). And now we're home. Hooray! We rock. Be sure to invite us to YOUR wedding soon. We'll guarantee you a night full of memories.
Enjoy.

HAHA! I love the smackdown pic! Such dedication - blogging in almost real-time!
My daughter ( when she was 3-4 yo) was the flower girl in her aunt's wedding, but after traveling 10 hours in a car, was told she was not welcome at the rehearsal dinner. No baby sitter was provided, so guess who got to watch ALL the little kids! No, I'm not bitter!

WWF Flower Girl Smackdown... shw won. Didn;t she? You must be so proud! What cute kiddos.
Weddings+kids= not a good day. I also want to know how you managed to convince your daughter to put hot rollers in her hair? I wanted to do this for a recital and that was going to happen, never.
hahah! So cute!
Beautiful kids. She'll make a beautiful bride someday herself! Oh what's that... too early to think about it? Ya, that's what I thought.

Awww...my 4 year old son was just in his first wedding. Aren't they adorable at this age? Congrats mom!
my kids were about 2 and 4 when my sister got married. i was the matron of honor(hate the word matron!) and, they were supposed to walk down the aisle at my sides. they were so excited. their favorite aunt, well...only aunt...was getting married. all dressed up, looking beautiful (the kids...not me. the bridesmaids dresses were hideous!) and, it was our turn to walk towards the bima (in a jewish wedding, that is where the bride and groom are married)...and, they started...both of them...having temper tantrums. so, instead of carrying down the bouquet of thorny roses, i carried down the aisle, two screaming kids! sorry...your story reminded me:)
great pics! your kids are gorgeous!!
Hey there... just hopping through. :)
Ok, first of all, what *is* it about kids and purses? That is, without a doubt, the easiest way for me to distract MJ too.
Second, nice one on E for taking it out on daddy. Be proud. :D
Thirdly, I love love love the caption for that last picture.:)
