The Frozen Babysitter

So we come home from a long night at a concert. Very fun - front row center seats, which was cool (especially since the tickets were free - gotta love that)... We got to see our girl, Jordin Sparks (I've recently become an Idol Addict. So shoot me.) We get home, and are like, "uh... where's our babysitter?" Oh we see her - at the back door. Outside. In the FREEZING cold. Our doors lock on you unsuspectingly - well, only if you don't know to unlock them before you go out (which sounds easier than it really is), which clearly she didn't know to do. So our sweet babysitter went outside to play with our dogs after the kids went to bed, and ended up spending TWO HOURS freezing outside in the dark - she went into our also dark shed and hung out there with the dogs until we came home.

Ugh. I feel so awful for her. This was only her 2nd time sitting. Fortunately, the kids were fine - sleeping. But STILL! I can't imagine how mad/sad she was when it happened (and then for the hours following!) I'm sure she hates us - she's prolly all like "oh THEM - the ones with the trick door where I almost had to eat their dogs to stay alive in the cold!) Or better yet, she'll sue us for getting frost bite and endangering her life or something. Hopefully she's not litigious and will warm up soon.

Whoa, that one had urban legend potential all over it! Glad she survived the ordeal. Poor girl!!
